Freeport VM is for people who want the added advantage of sending videos and pictures
to their family and friends. Our simple step-by-step interface makes it easy to
send personalized video messages. Freeport VM brings a unique, personal touch to everyday email. Let's get started!

Setting Up Your Computer
In order to run the Freeport VM client, you will need the .NET 2.0 framework, downloadable
from Microsoft
here, a Pentium IV, 1.4 GHz or higher, 256MB RAM, and Windows 2000, XP,
or Vista. You will also need a webcam, broadband internet connection, and Windows Media Player
9.0 or better.
Make certain that your webcam and microphone are plugged in and the proper drivers
are installed. Freeport VM will be unable to capture video without them.

Freeport VM Features
Freeport VM allows you to record in any mode for 180 seconds (3 minutes). The video
mails you send will be viewable for 30 days and your recipients can see them by
clicking a link that is contained in their e-mail.
In order for your recipient to play the Video Mails you send, they must have Windows
Media Player 9.0 or greater installed on their computer. This program is a standard
application in Windows, however it can be downloaded from:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/default.asp.

Downloading and Installing the Program
- Click the Download button on our download page.
- Save the setup file to a location you will remember, such as your desktop, or "My
Documents".
- Double-click on the file and follow the instructions to install the product.

Launching the Program
- Navigate to the Start menu, choose Programs and choose Freeport VM, or double-click
on the desktop icon.

Sign in
Upon opening Freeport VM, you will see the Sign In screen. Freeport VM utilizes
the login name you selected during registration.
- Type your email address in the username field.
- Type your Password in the Password Field.
- Click Login.
- You will now be at the Video Set-up Wizard screen.

Signing Out
To exit Freeport VM, click the Exit button on the login screen.
If you are not on the login screen, click the little red "X" in the top right corner
of the window to return to the login screen

The Wizards
When you log in for the first time, you will be presented with the capture setup
wizard. This will guide you through the process of selecting your video and
audio capture hardware. Next you will be guided through the process of recording
and sending your message.

Once you log in, you will be brought to the video capture screen.
You will see a preview from your webcam. Use this to adjust your camera as desired.
To record your video message, click the "Capture" button. You will have up
to three minutes to record any message. When you are done, click "Stop". You
can preview your message by clicking "Play", or you can re-record your message by
clicking "Capture" again. When you are satisfied with your message, click
"Next" to continue

Address Book
After you have recorded your message, you can select who to send it to. Simply
check all the desired recipients.
If the person you want to send to is not on the list, click "Add" to add them to
your address book.

Advanced Options
This screen allows you to specify the video quality or change the capture
hardware being used
Use the drop down combo box to change the video quality your camera records.
Keep in mind that higher quality video takes much longer to upload once you have
recorded your message.
You can click the "Audio and Video Configuration" button to select a different camera
or microphone to record from

Minimize
To minimize, press the Minimize Button in the upper right corner of the Freeport
VM screen. This button minimizes Video Mail to your task bar at the bottom of the
screen.

Close
To close Freeport VM, press the X in the upper right corner of the Video Mail Window.
Video Mail will close completely and will no longer appear in the system tray.

Uninstall the Application
- To uninstall Freeport VM, press the Start button on your Windows Taskbar.
- Choose Settings.
- Choose Control Panel.
- Double-click on Add or Remove Programs.
- Choose Video Mail from the list and press the Change/Remove button. Windows will
uninstall the program.
